الشّاحن التّربينيّ غاز عادم آلة شحن متحمّسة . غاز العادم من محرّك اُعْتِيدَ أن يقود توربينًا متّصلاً بيد شائعة إلى جهاز ضاغط . هذا الجهاز الضّاغط تباعًا يُسْتَخْدَم إلى هواء الإمداد تحت ضغط إلى المحرّك الذي اتّحد بالكمّيّة الصّحيحة للوقود لدى أثر زيادة ناتج المحرّك على ذلك لمحرّك حجم متساوي بدون شاحن تربينيّ
